Hi, I'm Eileen, a Museum Educator, Art Instructor and Watercolor Artist.
In July of 2018 I shared my love of watercolor and painting seascapes with my first group of young students. Who knew that three day camp would be such a pivotal moment in my life? As the years passed I taught more and more. Ultimately, I decided to leave my career as a graphic designer behind and fully embrace education.
In September of 2021 I started working as a Museum Educator, visiting schools and leading class trips to the Hofstra University Museum of Art. By the end of my first year I was enrolled at Adelphi University, pursuing a Masters in Art Education (anticipated graduation May 2024). I look forward to new opportunities in Art Education.

I love trying new things, especially when I am designing lessons for students, but painting is my favorite! My favorite subject is the ocean - from day to day, hour to hour, it changes and I love the challenge of capturing it on canvas.

teaching

As a Museum Educator at the Hofstra University Museum of Art, I share art and artifacts with students using an object and inquiry approach. At the South Shore Art Center, I teach drawing/painting classes as well as mixed media camps where students practice techniques and develop skills using project based lessons.
